Treasury Trainee

About the role

Join DHL Global Forwarding in Port‑Louis as a Treasury Trainee and support a team of treasury professionals in managing cash, funding, banking relationships and financial risk. You will work on day‑to‑day operational objectives that align with the company’s financial policies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve complex treasury‑related issues using standard methods and practical knowledge.
• Lead cross‑departmental process‑improvement projects, collect data and run analyses.
• Maintain relationships with banks, cash‑management service providers and other financial institutions.
• Prepare timely, accurate financial reports in accordance with DHL policies.
• Draft, review and approve payments via the bank portal.
• Support regional teams on Treasury Reporting System (TRS) projects.
• Resolve escalated issues and build strong cross‑functional stakeholder relationships.
• Assist with ad‑hoc duties to ensure smooth department operations.
• Analyze and recommend improvements to treasury guidelines and processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, regulations and laws.
• Allocate and analyse transitory accounts, send weekly payment proposals, execute payments and follow up on pending transactions.
• Post daily bank statements and perform cash & bank reconciliations.
