Upper Primary Science Teacher

About the role

Northfields International School is seeking an Upper Primary Science Teacher to join its IB Primary Years Programme. The successful candidate will inspire inquiry‑based learning and support the academic, social and emotional development of young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry‑based science lessons for upper primary students in line with the IB Primary Years Programme.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, ensuring each child is challenged and supported.
• Assess student progress regularly through classroom observations, assignments and home‑learning tasks, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain and utilise the school’s dedicated science laboratories and equipment safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with colleagues, SEN and EAL support staff to enhance interdisciplinary learning.

• Ability to work in a collaborative, reflective school culture.
• Strong communication skills with students, parents and staff.
