Video Editor – Short-form Social Media Content

About the role

InfluenceUp, a fast‑growing social media marketing agency in Mauritius, is looking for a Video Editor to join one of its three production pods. You will own the end‑to‑end post‑production process for short‑form videos that help local SMEs sell their products.

Key responsibilities

• Edit short‑form videos (TikTok, Reels, Facebook) for multiple SME clients, handling cuts, pacing, colour grading, sound, on‑screen text and motion graphics.
• Add voice‑overs when required by the content plan.
• Follow a monthly content calendar and deliver final videos at least three business days before the publish date.
• Submit work for internal review, then hand over to clients and manage the feedback loop.
• Triage modification requests: small fixes same day, larger changes escalated with a solution.
• Deliver uncompressed renders and maintain flawless file‑backup discipline.

Required profile

• Portfolio with at least five completed videos for businesses or brands.
• Confidence in using Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or CapCut.
• Strong instinct for short‑form content – the first two seconds matter.
• Organised, calm under multiple deadlines and open to feedback.
• Good written English and French (Kreol a plus) for captions and client communication.
• Focus on video performance, not just visual quality.
