Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role

Capital Limited is seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join its finance team in Ebene, Mauritius. The role involves managing invoice processing, vendor communications, and ensuring accurate financial records within an international mining services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process and settle invoices using the ERP system.
• Match purchase orders and receipts, record invoices, and resolve variances with procurement.
• Respond to vendor inquiries, update payment plans, and manage payment remittances.
• Enter expense invoices to the correct GL codes and reconcile AP accounts monthly.
• Pay utility bills on time and process supplier payments within agreed terms.
• Prepare payment consolidations, create beneficiaries, and load payments onto the banking portal.
• Verify payment approvals against the Authority Matrix and cash plan.
• Track capex‑related payments and contribute to cash‑flow forecasts.
• Maintain records of invoices, payments, and supporting documents on OneDrive.
• Process expense claims and release group payment consolidations weekly.
• Reconcile supplier statements and liaise with local finance teams to resolve discrepancies.

Required profile

• Higher School Certificate and ACCA Level 2.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounts payable, preferably in an international setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Experience with ACCPAC accounting software (preferred).
• Proficiency in using ERP accounting systems.
• Intermediate skills in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Familiarity with OneDrive for document storage and sharing.
