Analyst I, Payouts Onboarding

About the role

Based in the Mauritius office of Checkout.com, the Analyst I – Payouts Onboarding will support the end‑to‑end onboarding of merchant payout applications to Card Schemes. The role offers exposure to core fintech operations, including AML, due‑diligence and Card Scheme compliance, and works closely with commercial, compliance and product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed risk assessments on regulatory and Card Scheme compliance for Pay to Card products (Visa Direct, Mastercard).
• Prepare and submit various application types such as Pay to Bank, Pay to Card, and Account Funding Transaction requests.
• Coordinate with the Commercial team and internal partners to gather required documentation and information.
• Manage the full scheme submission lifecycle, ensuring timely follow‑up and status tracking.
• Maintain internal trackers with real‑time updates to guarantee data integrity and transparency.
• Execute merchant change requests related to Pay to Card/Pay to Bank in collaboration with commercial and external partners.
• Perform mandatory compliance reporting and registration activities to Card Schemes.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in compliance, underwriting or support roles, preferably within financial services or payments.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to scrutinise documentation, guidelines and complex regulatory rules.
• Clear ambition to build a career in fintech or payments and a proactive, detail‑oriented work style.
