Assistant Manager – Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS)

About the role

EY is seeking an Assistant Manager to join its Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team in Mauritius. You will work with a diverse client base, providing technical accounting advice and delivering regulatory change projects that help clients achieve their strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver technical accounting advice, including IFRS and IFRS 17 implementations.
• Train clients on technical accounting matters and finance system changes.
• Design and implement strategic and operational initiatives for client organisations.
• Lead project teams, assess engagement risks, and ensure high‑quality deliverables.
• Build and maintain internal and external networks to support long‑term client relationships.
• Coach and supervise junior staff, monitoring chargeability and development.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to practice growth.
• Stay current with industry developments and provide quality assurance on assignments.

Required profile

• Strong background in IFRS accounting, preferably with experience in IFRS 17.
• Demonstrated ability to manage advisory projects and client engagements.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Motivation to work in a collaborative, high‑performing team.
