Client Accountant

About the role

The Client Accountant will manage a portfolio of companies and trusts, ensuring accurate financial reporting, tax compliance and effective cash‑flow management. You will work closely with auditors, tax advisors and internal teams to deliver high‑quality financial information and support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file financial statements for each entity.
• Handle all statutory filings (APS, CTX, TDS) and ensure tax and VAT obligations are met.
• Oversee consolidation of accounts and meet reporting deadlines.
• Conduct solvency analysis and draft board resolutions and minutes.
• Produce monthly and annual management reports, budgets, cash‑flow forecasts and financial projections.
• Monitor creditors and debtors, identify cost‑reduction opportunities and resolve discrepancies.
• Liaise with auditors, respond to audit queries and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Train junior accounting staff and assist with investment proposal preparation.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors and clients as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum ACCA Level 2 or ACA Professional Level.
• Strong understanding of corporate and trust accounting, tax and VAT regulations.
• Experience preparing financial statements, budgets and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple entities.
