Client Onboarding Officer (On-site, Mauritius)

About the role

The Client Onboarding Officer will join Ocorian’s Mauritius office to manage the end‑to‑end onboarding of new clients. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures that all client documentation, regulatory checks and internal procedures are completed accurately and on schedule, delivering a smooth and professional experience.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, verify and organise client information and required documentation.
• Prepare and maintain onboarding files in company systems.
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate onboarding steps.
• Monitor onboarding progress, identify bottlenecks and resolve issues promptly.
• Communicate updates and guidance to clients throughout the process.
• Support continuous improvement of onboarding workflows and contribute to compliance initiatives.
• Ensure a consistent, positive client experience from start to finish.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in Human Resources, including experience with HR management and policies related to onboarding.
• Ability to handle employee‑relations matters that affect onboarding and integration.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities with high attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in financial or professional services is a plus.
• Comfort using digital tools for workflow management, document handling and reporting.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Business, HR, Administration, Finance or a related field; prior onboarding or client‑service experience is advantageous.
