Draughtsperson

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Draughtsperson to join our MEP engineering team. The successful candidate will produce accurate 2‑D technical drawings and BIM models to support mechanical, electrical and public‑health design projects in a consultancy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed 2‑D drawings using AutoCAD in line with internal CAD/BIM standards.
• Prepare schematic diagrams, general arrangement, installation intents and service‑coordination drawings across MEP disciplines.
• Issue drawings according to the project document‑management schedule and keep drawing registers up to date.
• Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural and structural information to identify and resolve spatial clashes.
• Participate in internal design meetings, drawing reviews and quality checks.
• Support clash‑detection exercises and assist in coordinating MEP services with the building fabric.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of drafting experience, preferably within a consultancy.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architectural Drafting, Engineering Drafting or a related field.
• Strong understanding of engineering, architectural and construction design principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Experience using Revit or comparable BIM tools.
• Knowledge of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health) drawing standards.
