Due Diligence Team Leader

About the role

As the Due Diligence Team Leader at Checkout.com, you will oversee a group of analysts responsible for conducting thorough due diligence investigations. You will ensure that all processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with regulatory standards while fostering a high‑performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the due diligence team, maintaining high standards of productivity, accuracy and compliance.
• Streamline due diligence procedures, identify enhancements and implement best practices.
• Act as escalation point for complex cases and guide team members in resolving challenging matters.
• Monitor team performance, set objectives and provide regular feedback and coaching.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk and Operations to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present reports on due diligence activities, trends and risk insights to senior management.
• Support ongoing training to keep the team updated on regulatory changes and industry standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in due diligence, financial compliance or a related field, preferably with leadership exposure.
• Strong understanding of AML regulations and due diligence best practices.
• Excellent leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaborative approach across teams.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
