Executive Director / Chief Financial Officer

About the role

The proposed M Bank in Mauritius is seeking a senior finance leader to act as Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer. The role will shape the financial architecture of a new foreign‑currency banking operation serving international clients across Africa and Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present IFRS‑compliant financial statements and management accounts for the Board.
• Monitor and report Capital Adequacy Ratio, leverage ratio and other capital buffers to the Bank of Mauritius.
• Oversee monthly assets‑liabilities reporting and quarterly prudential metrics such as CAR, LCR, NSFR and large‑exposure limits.
• Lead the ICAAP self‑assessment, stress‑testing and capital adequacy planning from year two onward.
• Manage tax allocation for Segment A/B income, corporate income tax, CSR/CCR levies and VAT treatment.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of finance experience in banking, with deep knowledge of IFRS and BoM prudential reporting.
• Qualified accountant (CA, CPA or ACCA) strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to handle capital management, regulatory reporting and tax compliance in a multi‑jurisdictional environment.
