Health, Safety & Environment Officer

About the role

Drymix Ltd, a member of the UBP Group, is seeking a dynamic and committed Health, Safety and Environment Officer to lead and support the implementation of the company's HSE programmes across all operations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety and environmental legislation, regulations and company standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, audits and incident investigations.
• Coordinate HSE inductions, training sessions, emergency drills and awareness programmes.
• Monitor, analyse and report on HSE performance indicators and compliance requirements.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and employee engagement throughout the organisation.
• Maintain HSE records, permits, documentation and statutory reports.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, external service providers and other stakeholders on HSE matters.
• Support management in continuous improvement initiatives and achievement of HSE objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health Management.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in a construction or industrial environment.
• Valid driving licence.
• Sound knowledge of occupational health, safety and environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Practical experience in risk assessment, incident reporting and accident investigation.
• Understanding of workplace hazards such as noise, dust, fumes, temperature extremes and hazardous substances.
• Ability to assess safety of machinery, equipment and installations.
• Proactive, hands‑on and results‑driven approach.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with reporting tools.
