Health & Safety Senior Analyst

About the role

The Health & Safety Senior Analyst will act as the primary liaison between management and operational teams to ensure full compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, including Section 30 of the OSHA Act. Working on‑site, you will monitor OHS performance, provide technical advice, and help embed a proactive safety culture across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and supervise safety controls, preventive measures, and protective arrangements throughout the workplace.
• Conduct monthly workplace inspections, record findings in the risk register, and recommend improvements.
• Lead risk assessments, safety audits, and detailed inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Deliver mandatory safety training, maintain statutory training records, and facilitate bi‑monthly safety committee meetings.
• Investigate accidents, complaints, and near‑miss incidents, producing written reports with corrective actions.
• Assist in designing emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and incident response measures.
• Verify PPE provision, proper use, and maintenance; manage first‑aid and fire‑safety equipment.
• Promote a safety culture by training employees to identify hazards and encouraging proactive reporting.
• Prepare and submit monthly HSE reports to senior management.

Required profile

• Registered Safety & Health Officer with certification from a recognized body.
• Strong administrative abilities and experience in OHS compliance within agile, 24/7 operational environments.
• Excellent investigative and reporting skills.
• Ability to communicate safety requirements clearly to both management and frontline staff.

Required skills

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, particularly Section 30.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and workplace inspections.
• Proficiency in preparing safety documentation and maintaining training records.
