Kitchen Commis – Hotel & Resort

About the role

The Commis will support the culinary team at Constance Prince Maurice, ensuring smooth operation of the kitchen across all sections. This entry‑level position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about hospitality and eager to develop their skills in a luxury resort environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior chefs with food preparation tasks as directed.
• Follow recipes and presentation standards to maintain consistency.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and storage areas.
• Store food products properly and use them efficiently to minimise waste.
• Support hot, cold, pastry and other kitchen sections as needed.
• Peel, chop, measure and portion ingredients according to specifications.
• Comply with health, safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
• Clean and store kitchen tools and equipment correctly.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless kitchen operations.

Required profile

• NC3 qualification in Kitchen department or an equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a similar commis role.
• Food Safety and Hygiene certification.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
