Marathi Linguistic QA Specialist (Remote)

About the role

SME Careers, a fast‑growing AI data services company, is looking for a Marathi Linguistic QA Specialist to work remotely on an hourly contractor basis. You will lead quality assurance for Marathi AI training projects, ensuring that generated content meets high standards of accuracy, fluency, cultural relevance, and adherence to detailed rubrics.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated Marathi content and trainer work against project guidelines.
• Provide precise written feedback in English and Marathi.
• Identify and document recurring quality issues and communicate updates to trainers and QAs.
• Support onboarding of new contributors and maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, and other quality documentation.
• Activate and monitor contributors who are not working consistently.
• Collaborate with remote teams using Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and project‑management dashboards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marathi, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in Marathi with strong reading and writing skills.
• Excellent command of English for following guidelines and providing feedback.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Marathi writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, or related workflows.
• Deep understanding of Marathi grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, regional variation, and cultural context.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, or QAs is strongly preferred.
