MWR Electronics Technician

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Electronics Technician to support a United States Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electronic and electrical equipment used for recreational and operational purposes.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot electronic and electrical equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
• Perform tests, inspections, and diagnostics on systems such as televisions, DVD players, digital projectors, cameras, handheld radios, boat electronics, music systems, and theater projectors.
• Ensure compliance with NAVFAC MO-200 standards, including required training and certifications.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and inspection records in line with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to execute repairs and modifications.
• Coordinate with supervisors and team members to complete tasks on schedule.
• Participate in ongoing training to retain certifications and stay current with technological advancements.

Required profile

• Minimum four years of experience repairing a variety of MWR electronic equipment.
• Certification and training as required by NAVFAC MO-200 standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, wiring schematics, and electronic manuals.
• Current Customer Service, CPR, and First Aid certifications with annual recertification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport (minimum one‑year validity) and ability to travel internationally.
• Pass contract medical requirements and maintain them throughout deployment.
