Release & Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Dayforce is looking for a Release Engineer with strong Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) expertise to support its cloud‑native Workforce Management platform. In this hybrid role you will ensure reliable, scalable, and secure software delivery while improving system resiliency, observability, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for WFM services (APIs and consumers).
• Manage service deployments across multiple regions and versions.
• Monitor all services to keep them healthy and green.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) tools.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and lead root‑cause analysis.
• Partner with development, platform, security, and operations teams to improve deployment strategies and define SLOs/SLIs.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Release Engineering, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure.
• Proven ability to work in a hybrid environment and collaborate across distributed teams.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a focus on operational excellence.

Required skills

• Microsoft Azure (Azure, Application Insights, Azure DevOps).
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools: Terraform, Helm charts.
• Kubernetes (AKS preferred) and container orchestration.
• Scripting languages: PowerShell, Bash, YAML, Python.
• Database technologies: Redis, Kafka, SQL and NoSQL databases.
• AI‑powered development tools (GitHub Copilot, Codeium, Sourcegraph Cody) and AI‑driven observability solutions.
