Team Leader - Trading

About the role

MCB Securities Ltd, a leading brokerage and investment solutions firm in Mauritius, is looking for an experienced Team Leader – Trading. You will head a high‑performing execution desk, delivering best‑in‑class trading services to institutional, corporate, high‑net‑worth and retail clients across local and international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high‑quality execution across all client segments, ensuring disciplined order management, strong price discovery and full P&L accountability.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, liquidity providers, brokers and internal partners to secure optimal trade outcomes.
• Partner with internal teams to enable seamless end‑to‑end trade execution and support business growth objectives.
• Provide expert guidance on trading policies, market rules and procedures, resolving execution issues and escalating complex matters.
• Analyse execution data and market trends to drive continuous improvement in execution strategies.
• Identify client and stakeholder needs and translate insights into service, product and process enhancements.
• Contribute to the design and enhancement of execution processes, systems and controls in line with regulatory standards.
• Lead, coach and develop Senior Dealers and Dealers, ensuring high standards of service quality and engagement.
• Ensure compliance with market conduct, order handling and record‑keeping requirements, mitigating execution risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in trading, execution, brokerage or capital markets, with proven exposure to equities and/or multi‑asset execution.
• Demonstrated ability to take on new opportunities with urgency, high energy and enthusiasm.
• Strong accountability, results‑orientation and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent stakeholder management and team‑building skills.
