Face‑to‑Face Fundraiser – Social Work Graduate

About the role

Greenpeace Mauritius is seeking enthusiastic social work graduates to join the team as face‑to‑face fundraisers. You will engage directly with the public in markets, shopping centres and other busy locations, sharing the organisation’s environmental mission and encouraging monthly support.

Key responsibilities

• Approach visitors in public spaces and initiate conversations about climate and biodiversity issues.
• Explain Greenpeace campaigns clearly and answer questions from a diverse audience.
• Convert interested individuals into regular donors through persuasive, empathetic dialogue.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and donations using provided tools.
• Collaborate with the local fundraising team to meet weekly and monthly targets.

Required profile

• Recent graduate in social work or a related people‑oriented field.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to listen and empathise.
• Goal‑oriented mindset and passion for environmental and social causes.
• Fluent in English and/or French; Creole is a plus.

Required skills

• Effective verbal communication.
• Basic data entry for donor tracking.
