Waiter / Waitress – Luxury Resort

About the role

Join the award‑winning team at One&Only Le Saint Géran, a luxury resort on Mauritius, as a Waiter/Waitress. You will deliver exceptional food‑and‑beverage service in the restaurant, bar, lounge and, when required, in guest rooms. The role combines attentive hospitality with a passion for creating memorable dining experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, present menus and inform them of daily specials.
• Take food and beverage orders using handheld POS devices, noting any special dietary requests.
• Serve meals and drinks promptly, ensuring correct sequencing and presentation.
• Upsell menu items and suggest appropriate wine pairings.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to guarantee smooth service.
• Perform basic table setting, clearing, and resetting for the next guests.
• Handle payments, issue receipts and return change accurately.
• Assist with room‑service orders and act as a runner when needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with handheld Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems.
• Basic cooking knowledge for assisting kitchen operations.
• Wine opening and tableside service techniques.
