Academic Support Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an Academic Support Specialist to join our Hospitality Academy team. You will work closely with the Academics Coordinator to create engaging learning materials, guide students through enrollment, and support their academic journey, including assistance with the F1 visa process.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the enrollment process for Hospitality Academy courses, ensuring all documentation and requirements are completed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective and enrolled students, providing clear information on program options and academic pathways.
• Assist the Academics Coordinator in developing and delivering study‑skill resources and support materials.
• Support students in overcoming academic challenges and developing effective study habits.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the F1 visa application process and guide students accordingly.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in academic support, business development, or a similar role, preferably with management responsibilities.
• Fluent English; Spanish is a plus.
• Graduate of a hospitality school and able to relate to students and recent graduates.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and public‑speaking abilities.
• Result‑driven, self‑motivated, organized, and empathetic with a student‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
