Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will support Cobalt Ridge’s local Mauritian accounting function and multiple global entities. Working closely with the Senior Accounting Manager in Mauritius and the global finance team, the role ensures accurate, timely and transparent accounting and closing activities across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Post and reconcile transactions, including bank activity, fixed assets and non‑cash items, in a multi‑currency accounting system.
• Maintain comprehensive accounting records to facilitate timely management accounts and annual financial statements.
• Collaborate with the global finance team to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Respond promptly to internal and external queries and provide ongoing accounting support.
• Stay up‑to‑date with relevant regulatory requirements and apply them daily.
• Take ownership of assigned entities during team absences to ensure continuity of service.
• Uphold high standards of quality and accuracy, contributing to a culture of excellence.
• Assist with ad‑hoc projects as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; part‑qualified accountant considered.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to global, multi‑entity, multi‑currency environments.
• Progress toward an accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication and collaborative skills.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and solution‑oriented with a flexible approach to working hours.
