About the role
DHL Global Forwarding is seeking an Accounting Team Lead to oversee the day‑to‑day financial operations for its Port Louis hub. You will ensure compliance with global and regional accounting standards while driving efficiency across the Record‑to‑Report (RTR) and intercompany processes.
Key responsibilities
- Manage month‑end and year‑end closing activities for RTR, intercompany and CREST reporting in line with DHL guidelines.
- Ensure all balance‑sheet reconciliations, including sub‑ledger and intercompany accounts, are completed and approved each month.
- Maintain adherence to internal controls, audit readiness and timely resolution of escalated issues.
- Set operational objectives (IKOs) for the team, monitor performance and conduct regular one‑to‑one reviews.
- Provide coaching, on‑the‑job training and drive continuous process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to support regional and global finance initiatives.

- Proactive, ‘can‑do’ attitude and willingness to work in a fast‑paced, international environment.
Required skills
- Knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP accounting standards.
- Experience with CREST reporting and intercompany accounting.
- Proficiency in balance‑sheet reconciliation and internal control frameworks.
