Analyst I – Acquiring Risk Monitoring

About the role

An Analyst I within the Risk Monitoring Team executes day‑to‑day operations, supports risk assessment and monitoring of our global e‑commerce merchants’ portfolio, and reviews alerts generated by in‑house monitoring tools.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate a proficient understanding of acquiring risks and maintain in‑depth knowledge of card‑scheme rules.
• Perform background checks on merchants using internal tools and external resources.
• Identify risky business practices and propose risk‑based mitigations.
• Create and communicate reports on risk concerns to relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct independent investigations, analyse suspicious transaction patterns and recommend actions.
• Suggest innovative ideas to improve risk monitoring processes and infrastructure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Economics or equivalent with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present analysis succinctly.
• Ability to thrive in a rapid‑paced, agile environment and meet demanding timelines.
• Proficiency in English; additional fluency in Mandarin, Japanese or French is a plus.
• Knowledge of payment processing, e‑commerce landscape and card‑scheme rules is beneficial.
