Banking & Financial Analyst – Strategy & Research

About the role

The Banking and Financial Analyst will join MCB’s Strategy, Research & Development division to provide market, industry and regulatory insights that shape the Group’s strategic decisions. You will work closely with senior analysts to monitor trends and produce high‑quality research that supports the bank’s positioning and rating.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor local, regional and international banking and financial trends, delivering timely research to decision‑makers.
• Identify and assess market, industry and regulatory challenges and opportunities, escalating key issues under the guidance of the Senior Analyst.
• Prepare targeted reports and papers that demonstrate MCB’s financial health to international rating agencies.
• Assist in creating presentations and reports for business lines and senior management.
• Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate robust research.
• Develop and update financial and forecasting models to evaluate operational impacts on key performance indicators.
• Provide accurate inputs for due‑diligence exercises requested by regulators and external parties.
• Stay up‑to‑date on market, regulatory, industry and competitive environments to underpin analyses.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret numerical data and draw rational conclusions.
• Excellent written communication skills, capable of producing clear, structured reports for diverse audiences.
• Deep understanding of banking, financial services and regulatory landscapes.
• Customer‑focused attitude, ensuring high‑quality outputs for internal and external stakeholders.
