Graduate Actuarial Associate – Consulting

About the role

Join EY's Africa Financial Services Risk Consulting team as a Graduate Actuarial Associate based in Mauritius. You will work alongside actuaries, quants and risk specialists on a variety of projects that support clients in actuarial valuations, IFRS 17 implementation, predictive analytics and broader financial transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with actuarial valuations, including IFRS, Embedded Value (EV) and Solvency Assessment Model (SAM).
• Support IFRS 17 consulting and implementation engagements.
• Contribute to pricing, product development and predictive analytics initiatives.
• Perform financial modelling and risk‑capital management analyses.
• Participate in finance and actuarial transformation, ESG and investment consulting projects.
• Support transactions, due‑diligence and audit engagements for life and short‑term insurance lines.

Required profile

• Final‑year student pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science.
• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
• Interest in risk, transformation and insurance sectors.
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural, high‑performing teams.
