Compliance Executive – Financial Services

About the role

Trident Trust is seeking a Compliance Executive to support its Compliance Officer, MLRO, and DMLRO in delivering outsourced compliance services for Mauritius‑licensed entities. The role focuses on AML/CFT oversight, regulatory reporting, and ensuring that client obligations are fully met.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day AML/CFT operations, applying FIAMLA 2002, the AML/CFT Handbook, FSC rules and sanctions regimes.
• Assist with compliance controls, screenings, transaction monitoring, and customer due‑diligence reviews.
• Draft periodic compliance reports for client boards.
• Conduct business and client risk assessments and recommend actions under senior oversight.
• Review and update clients’ AML/CFT manuals.
• Identify, document, and escalate suspicious activities.
• Support AML/CFT audits and ensure timely closure of recommendations.
• Assist with FSC inspections, preparing information and follow‑up actions.
• Undertake ad‑hoc projects and special assignments as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Law, Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, Finance or related field, or professional qualifications such as ACCA, ICSA, ACAMS.
• 4–5 years of compliance administration experience in financial services, preferably within a Mauritius Management Company.
• Strong knowledge of FIAMLA 2002, AML/CFT Handbook and FSC regulatory guidance.
