Computer Vision Annotator (Remote)

About the role

The Computer Vision Annotator will work remotely to create high-quality labeled datasets that power object detection, classification, segmentation and tracking models. You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to ensure annotations meet project specifications and improve model performance.

Key responsibilities

• Draw precise bounding boxes, polygons, polylines and key points on images and video using tools such as CVAT, Label Studio or Amazon SageMaker Ground Truth.
• Create 3D cuboids and annotate point-cloud data for LiDAR-based applications.
• Perform semantic and instance segmentation, labeling every pixel where required.
• Interpret complex labeling taxonomies, flag ambiguous cases and refine guidelines with project managers.
• Provide feedback on annotation tool usability and suggest workflow optimisations.
• Identify edge cases, potential biases and report findings to improve dataset robustness.
• Assist with basic data preparation tasks such as image resizing and format conversion.
• Track annotation KPIs such as throughput, precision and recall.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in computer-vision data annotation or quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of computer-vision terminology (object detection, LiDAR, point clouds, segmentation).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across large volumes of data.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

• Proficiency with Amazon SageMaker Ground Truth.
• Experience with bounding-box, polygon, key-point and segmentation mask annotation techniques.
