People Business Partner

About the role

The People Business Partner (PBP) will lead the People strategy and operations for Mubex and ABI Shared Services Africa, based in Mauritius. You will act as a trusted advisor to line managers, driving HR processes that enhance talent acquisition, development, and employee engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the full People (HR) strategy in Mauritius, aligning with global and zone initiatives.
• Maintain the health of human capital by overseeing recruitment, onboarding, performance management, talent development, and employee engagement surveys.
• Leverage data analytics to inform decisions, build business cases, and monitor organizational performance.
• Act as guardian of People policies, ensuring compliance and best‑practice implementation.
• Own the People budget, managing headcount and cost controls.
• Identify and implement organizational capabilities needed to achieve functional goals.
• Coach line managers, develop their leadership skills, and manage direct reports.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in people‑management roles.
• Proven track record of delivering HR initiatives and driving performance.
