Performing Art Teacher (Primary)

About the role

Northfields International School is seeking a Performing Art Teacher for its Primary School, which follows the IB Primary Years Programme. The successful candidate will inspire young learners through inquiry‑based performing‑arts lessons, fostering creativity, confidence and a love of the arts.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging performing‑arts lessons aligned with the IB PYP curriculum.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of primary students and support their artistic development.
• Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate records.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate performing arts across the curriculum and contribute to school productions and events.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment and manage arts‑related resources and equipment.

Required profile

• Passion for inquiry‑based learning and the holistic development of young learners.
• Experience teaching performing arts to primary‑age children, preferably within an international school setting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a reflective school culture.
• Commitment to the school’s values of excellence, leadership and global citizenship.
