Reservation Agent (Hotel)

About the role

The Reservation Agent supports the hotel’s front‑office operations by managing daily occupancy forecasts, handling guest inquiries, and processing bookings from direct guests, travel agents, and luxury partners. The role ensures smooth communication between departments and delivers a high‑standard guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Print daily room‑type occupancy forecasts and distribute them to CHSL offices.
• Answer telephone calls, provide information on availability, and manage direct and travel‑agent bookings.
• Track pending files, verify rooming lists from ground‑handling agents, and input confirmed bookings into the Materialised Bookings chart.
• Review upcoming month’s bookings, follow up on pro‑forma invoices, and handle Leading Hotels of the World and group bookings.
• Respond quickly to guest problems, ensure satisfaction, and monitor out‑of‑order rooms to maximise revenue.
• Develop and improve paperwork and communication processes with other hotel departments.
• Upsell room rates where possible and perform any additional duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Middle or secondary education with relevant training or certificates.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the hotel industry, preferably in a luxury resort.
• Professional attitude, strong deportment, and ability to set an example for the team.

Required skills

• Strong computer proficiency for booking and reporting systems.
