Reservation Officer – Hotel Reservations Management

About the role

The Reservation Officer will manage and coordinate all reservation activities for the hotel, ensuring accurate room allocation, correct rate application, and optimal occupancy. This role acts as a bridge between the Reservations, Front Office, and Sales teams, maintaining up‑to‑date records and supporting smooth communication.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in training programmes and apply learned standards daily.
• Inform management of any unusual matters or operational issues.
• Maintain and regularly update customer and business contact records.
• Monitor room allocations to prevent overbooking and optimise availability.
• Quote approved room rates in line with pricing guidelines.
• Maximise occupancy through effective reservation management.
• Prepare and distribute daily occupancy lists and business forecasts.
• Organise and keep accurate reservation documentation and filing systems.
• Collaborate closely with the Sales Department on reservation updates and guest requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in reservations or front‑office roles, preferably in a hotel or resort.
• Strong communication skills in English and French.

Required skills

• Knowledge of hotel reservation systems and room inventory management.
• Understanding of rate management and occupancy optimisation.
