Senior AML/CFT Compliance Executive

About the role

The Apex Group is seeking a Senior AML/CFT Compliance Executive to lead anti‑money‑laundering and counter‑terrorist financing activities for a portfolio of Financial Institutions. You will work closely with the Money Laundering Reporting Officer, Compliance Officer and regulatory bodies to ensure robust compliance frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare AML/CFT documentation and reports for the Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Compliance Officer.
• Respond to internal auditor queries, providing data, documents and explanations promptly.
• Support onsite and offsite inspections by the Financial Services Commission, addressing all AML/CFT matters.
• Conduct periodic reviews of Financial Institutions and ensure implementation of independent AML audit functions.
• Perform due‑diligence and risk assessments of customers, maintaining up‑to‑date records.
• Coordinate AML/CFT training for directors, officers and employees and maintain training logs.
• Assist internal, independent and regulatory AML/CFT reviews, including adverse media monitoring and regulator notifications.
• Mentor junior team members, reviewing and validating their deliverables.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of experience in compliance or company secretarial roles within the global business sector.
• University degree or relevant professional qualification.
• Strong ability to multi‑task, prioritize and manage time in a fast‑paced environment.
• Quick learner with adaptability to evolving AML/CFT regulations.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of AML/CFT regulations and best practices.
• Experience with AML audit functions and regulatory reporting.
• Proficiency in using AI‑driven compliance tools to enhance efficiency.
