Senior Client Accountant

About the role

The Senior Client Accountant will lead a team delivering day‑to‑day financial reporting for a portfolio of clients. You will ensure compliance with internal policies, GAAP standards and client expectations while acting as a key liaison across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee subordinates and manage people performance.
• Provide daily financial reporting services for assigned clients and structures.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Review bookkeeping work, maintain checklists and ensure accurate accounting files.
• Process client and audit comments, aiming for a maximum of three drafts of financials.
• Collaborate with accounting teams in various jurisdictions to ensure accurate records and appropriate disclosures.
• Serve as a primary contact for locations, cascade information promptly, and chair weekly meetings.
• Assist in preparing management reporting packs and monthly service delivery decks.
• Maintain up‑to‑date client databases and monitor team KPIs.
• Support audit processes to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Ensure accurate time recording for yourself and team members.
• Promote high‑quality service delivery and an inclusive team environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in people management and team leadership.
• Strong background in day‑to‑day financial reporting and GAAP compliance.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple client requests.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, auditors and internal teams.
• Experience chairing meetings, preparing management reports and monitoring KPIs.
