Senior Fund Accountant

About the role

The Senior Fund Accountant will join Apex Group’s global fund administration team, delivering high‑quality accounting services to a diverse portfolio of funds. You will act as the primary point of contact for brokers, custodians and clients, ensuring accurate NAV calculations and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of client service and adhere to Apex policies and procedures.
• Oversee onboarding of new Global Apex NAV operating offices.
• Perform cash and portfolio reconciliations with banks and brokers.
• Prepare working files, calculate NAV and update the fund accounting system.
• Confirm trades with brokers and manage investor transactions (subscriptions, redemptions, transfers).
• Lead and motivate junior staff, providing training and performance appraisals.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts and statutory returns.
• Liaise with auditors during statutory audits.
• Drive efficiency initiatives and complete ad‑hoc client projects.
• Ensure compliance with AML/CFT regulations for fund onboarding.

Required profile

• 3+ years of accounting experience in the fund industry (advantageous).
• ACCA qualified, partially qualified, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Willingness to work extra hours when required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with fund accounting software such as Investran, Efront, Paxus or Allvue.
