Senior Payments Specialist

About the role

Checkout.com is looking for a Senior Payments Specialist to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of new alternative payment methods (APMs) and to maintain the quality of existing ones. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams and external partners to ensure seamless merchant experiences across a global portfolio of payment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with APM partners and internal teams (engineering, accounting, treasury) to design testing plans and achieve technical certification.
• Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot settlement reconciliations, analysing data flows across systems and reports.
• Identify and implement improvements to reduce reconciliation breaks.
• Gather requirements for feature enhancements or new payment methods and communicate clear implementation specifications to product teams.
• Disseminate payment knowledge across merchant‑facing teams and support internal operations such as onboarding, settlements, and issue resolution.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of hands‑on experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role within financial services or payments processing.
• Proven ability to work closely with engineering teams on technical projects.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on data‑driven decision making.
