About the role
The Senior Payroll Specialist will manage end‑to‑end payroll for a portfolio of UK clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery while supporting the wider payroll team.
Key responsibilities
- Process payroll data for a portfolio of approximately 40 clients from start to finish.
- Second‑check payrolls processed by the team and ensure service delivery expectations are met.
- Prepare employee, partner and third‑party payments and partner statements.
- Handle post‑payroll checks and liaison for pension payments, including Auto Enrolment.
- Maintain frequent UK communication, status updates and adherence to payroll calendar deadlines.
- Ensure HMRC filing and payment deadlines are met.
- Perform initial reconciliation of client monies and daily bank reconciliations for payroll accounts.
- Provide ad‑hoc support to team members and cover absences as needed.
- Stay up‑to‑date with technical developments and disseminate relevant information to the team.
- Support the Payroll Manager with administrative and management reporting tasks.
