Senior Tax Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Tax Consultant to join our global fund administration team. The role will focus on delivering tax compliance, advisory and dispute resolution services for a diverse client base, primarily covering Mauritius and international tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Review and prepare PAYE, TDS, CSG, VAT and corporate tax computations and returns.
• Coordinate internal teams to ensure timely filing of quarterly and annual tax returns.
• Monitor client tax compliance, produce KPI reports and maintain taxation processes.
• Provide technical support to client service units and coach junior staff.
• Liaise with the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA) on queries, attend meetings and draft responses.
• Maintain a database of MRA rulings, domestic and international tax cases.
• Assist in drafting tax rulings applications, written representations and technical papers.
• Conduct research on domestic and international tax law changes and implement necessary updates.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in global business tax, familiar with various vehicle structures.
• Degree holder or substantial progress towards ACA/ACCA qualification.
• Strong interest and exposure to tax computations and dispute resolution, especially in Mauritius.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to draft technical memoranda.
