Synchrolift Electrical Control Operator – US Navy Program

About the role

The Synchrolift Electrical Control Operator will operate, maintain, and repair the electrical control systems of a unique US Navy Synchrolift facility located on Diego Garcia. This position ensures safe vessel handling during dry‑docking and undocking operations while supporting continuous mission readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Synchrolift electrical control systems to guarantee safe vessel movements.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on motor control center (MCC) equipment and related electrical components.
• Complete specialized training from the Synchrolift manufacturer and maintain certification.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults to sustain uninterrupted Synchrolift operations.
• Collaborate with Journeymen Electricians to meet industry‑standard maintenance procedures.
• Conduct regular quality inspections and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to technical emergencies and electrical failures promptly.

Required profile

• Strong electrical background with experience in complex electrical systems.
• Knowledge of motor control center (MCC) operations.
• Familiarity with electrical standards, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
• Ability to complete specialized Synchrolift electrical training (or willingness to do so).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport (minimum one‑year validity) and ability to travel internationally.
• Pass contract medical requirements and maintain them throughout deployment.
