Accountant

About the role

ER Real Estate & Agribusiness is looking for a qualified Accountant to join the shared services team supporting Agrïa Limited, Case Noyale Ltée and Les Villas de Bel Ombre Limited. You will play a key role in financial planning, reporting and compliance across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare budgets and forecasts in collaboration with management according to set timelines.
• Organise the accounting team to handle debtors, creditors, cash, procurement and ensure all financial recordings follow group policies.
• Manage the annual external audit, coordinate audit planning, respond to queries and liaise with the Head of Finance.
• Prepare, examine and analyse accounting records, financial statements and other reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Draft board papers and maintain Cognos and other management reports.
• Validate weekly bank reconciliations, cash positions and payment listings; review and sign off remittances.
• Submit statutory returns (VAT, TDS, Income Tax) and provide required information to regulatory bodies.
• Analyse business trends, control income and expenses, and advise on financial projections.
• Develop, implement and document accounting systems, ensuring robust internal controls.
• Perform any other related duties as required by management.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or partial ACCA qualification.
• Strong organisational, prioritisation and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
