Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Accountant to join our CJ Accounting Shared Services team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive accounting services to Silver Wings Travels Ltd and report directly to the Finance Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily cash office operations, bank movements, payment schedules and cash flow, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Perform weekly Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) reconciliations, support airline settlements and manage month‑end travel system closures.
• Manage debtors’ recovery, accounts receivable, accounts payable, supplier reconciliations and overall working‑capital activities.
• Execute monthly bank, intercompany and third‑party reconciliations and prepare management accounts and quarterly financial reports for the CJ Group Accounting Team.
• Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements, group reporting uploads, yearly forecasts and the three‑year AOP budget.
• Prepare and monitor statutory filings such as VAT, PAYE, NPF/CSG and APS, and support audit readiness.
• Apply approved procedures, SOPs, SLAs and internal accounting policies, providing guidance to junior staff and responding to finance queries.

Required profile

• ACCA qualification (completed Level 2) with at least 3 years of experience in an accountant role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and statutory requirements.
• Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail and the capacity to meet strict deadlines.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and professional communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
