Accounting & Tax Assistant – Support International Clients in France

About the role

TMF Group is seeking an Accounting & Tax Assistant to join its accounting division. You will support international clients establishing and growing their operations in France, working under the supervision of senior accountants and managers.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and control accounting information from clients.
• Enter data into the accounting system and perform basic reconciliations (accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank, employee expenses, payroll).
• Prepare French tax returns, including VAT and other taxes.
• Assist senior staff with client reports, cut‑off procedures, tax declarations, and annual financial statements.
• Report progress proactively to seniors and supervisors.
• Submit work for review by appointed accountants.
• Contribute to internal projects such as automation, continuous improvement, and training.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Strong command of English and French (B2‑C1).
• Energetic, well‑organized, meticulous and able to meet deadlines.
• High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
• Adaptable to diverse situations, stakeholders and technologies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of French GAAPs (a plus).
