Actuarial Analyst

About the role

The company is looking for an experienced Actuarial Analyst to join its Actuarial Consulting department in Moka, Mauritius, working under the supervision of the Actuarial Manager. The role is described as both creative and rigorous, requiring a proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills and a "get it done" spirit.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic pension benefit calculations
• Help collate and maintain basic economic and index-related data
• Ensure a clear audit trail for all work carried out
• Validate and reconcile pension scheme membership data
• Update valuation runs for minor changes

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, business, mathematics, finance, economics or another relevant field
• Interest in achieving Fellowship of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries
• Basic knowledge of the private pension sector and its legal and regulatory environment
• Strong technical, organisational and project management skills

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe PDF)
• Nice to have: strong problem-solving, written and verbal communication, teamwork, drive and resilience under pressure
