AI Governance Lead

About the role

Join the AI Centre of Excellence within a leading bank to shape and operationalise the organisation's AI governance framework. You will ensure responsible, ethical, secure and compliant AI adoption while supporting innovation and business value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve the bank's AI Governance Framework and Responsible AI principles.
• Translate governance policies, standards and controls into practical guidance for business, data and technology teams.
• Monitor compliance with AI governance requirements and recommend remediation actions.
• Identify, assess and mitigate AI‑related risks across technical, ethical, operational, regulatory, privacy, security and reputational dimensions.
• Define and assess controls for model performance, data quality, bias management and monitoring.
• Support AI audits, regulatory reviews and maintain auditable documentation.
• Embed governance requirements throughout the AI lifecycle, from design to deployment and ongoing monitoring.
• Act as a trusted advisor, promote AI governance awareness, deliver training and balance innovation with risk management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in AI governance, risk management or compliance within a regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI principles, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Ability to influence stakeholders, communicate complex concepts clearly and drive continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated decision‑making skills and a results‑oriented mindset.
