Application Owner – Open Banking

About the role
The Application Owner – Open Banking will be accountable for the end‑to‑end performance, stability and evolution of the bank’s Open Banking platforms. You will ensure that the applications are secure, resilient and scalable while delivering high‑quality digital services that meet business and customer requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Own the availability, performance and stability of Open Banking applications, aligning service delivery with business expectations.
- Define, monitor and improve Service Level Agreements and key performance indicators, detecting and remediating service degradation early.
- Implement continuous monitoring, manage alerts and drive rapid incident resolution to minimise disruption.
- Oversee incident and change management processes, conduct root‑cause analysis and ensure permanent remediation of recurring issues.
- Ensure platforms are designed for high availability, resilience and disaster recovery, and regularly test these capabilities.
- Maintain up‑to‑date application documentation, architecture and configuration for audit readiness.
- Manage patching and vulnerability remediation in line with group security policies and timelines.
- Coordinate with third‑party suppliers, ensuring contracts, SLAs and risk management are in place.
- Lead strategic Open Banking projects, collaborating with product owners and cross‑functional teams to deliver enhancements.
Required profile
- Proven experience in application ownership or service management within a banking or financial services environment.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, risk frameworks and security standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders, product owners and technology teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
