Assistant Accountant - Asset Manager Services

About the role

Ocorian's Asset Manager Services team supports asset managers with the operational demands and complexity of growth, acting as an extension of their teams. As an Assistant Accountant you will maintain accurate accounting records and develop your technical expertise, with training and support to prepare financial statements and management accounts for a portfolio of clients in line with accounting frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and process transactions for an assigned portfolio of clients
• Post bookkeeping entries and keep high-quality records to support financial statements and management accounts
• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, loan and bank transactions accurately and on time
• Perform bank, investment and other reconciliations
• Assist with VAT returns and other basic tax filings
• Prepare simple financial statements and management accounts while building technical accounting knowledge
• Work with colleagues on accounting tasks and team initiatives, and build professional relationships with clients across multiple jurisdictions
• Handle client, employee and company information confidentially and follow information security policies

Required profile

• Completed ACCA Level 2 and/or a first degree in an accounting field
• At least 2 years of accounting experience
• Ability to learn NAV, E-front systems and Value Financials software
