Assistant Laundry Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Laundry Manager to support the daily operation of the shipboard laundry facility. Reporting to the Laundry Master and Executive Housekeeper, you will help ensure that all linen, towels, tableware and uniforms are cleaned, pressed and delivered to the appropriate departments on time.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the crew working in the laundry and coordinate with housekeeping, food & beverage and other divisions for proper sorting and handling of linen.
• Monitor and maintain laundry equipment, perform daily dryer inspections, and support preventive‑maintenance programmes.
• Check finished loads for quality, adjust formulas and cycles, and ensure correct temperature and water settings.
• Handle guest and crew concerns related to laundry services, following onboard problem‑resolution guidelines.
• Prepare and submit daily inspection reports to the Executive Housekeeper and First Engineer.
• Assist in the cleaning of non‑logo uniforms and ensure all work areas remain clean, sanitized and organized.

Required profile

• Minimum two years experience as an Assistant Laundry Master or equivalent in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel, cruise ship or upscale hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Ability to work on a shipboard environment and coordinate with multiple departments.
