Assistant Manager, Fund Accounting

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Fund Accounting is the primary technical expert responsible for ensuring excellence in complex fund accounting services. You will lead technical decisions, process innovations and provide authoritative guidance on sophisticated client portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Review and sign off complex financial reports, including NAV calculations, capital calls, distributions and investor communications.
• Oversee team deliverables, coordinate with clients and partners, and ensure timely resolution of review comments and queries.
• Manage complex client issues, transactions and exceptions, preparing error reports and compliance cases with corrective actions.
• Review and approve standard operating procedures and implement new accounting standards and regulations.
• Represent the team in client, cluster and internal meetings and maintain accurate timesheets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, ACCA qualified (ACA advantageous).
• 6+ years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years in fund accounting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards, statutory requirements and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong leadership, coaching, planning, communication and interpersonal skills.
