Finance Manager – Mauritius

About the role

The Finance Manager is responsible for the financial integrity and regulatory compliance of Aruwa Capital Management’s Mauritius investment adviser. Based in Mauritius, the role works closely with the Lagos finance team to ensure seamless group finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and the Companies Act 2001.
• Oversee fund finance tasks including NAV calculations, capital calls, distributions, fee calculations and investor reporting.
• Coordinate the annual external audit, prepare tax computations and ensure timely filing of audited statements with the FSC.
• Monitor regulatory capital requirements, submit periodic returns to the FSC and support AML/CFT, KYC and FATCA/CRS compliance.
• Design and operate finance policies, internal controls and manage relationships with service providers such as fund administrators, auditors and banks.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of finance experience in Mauritius, preferably within private equity fund accounting or financial services.
• Member of a recognised professional accountancy body (ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent) and eligible for registration with the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, management or a related discipline.
• Hands‑on experience with private equity fund structures, capital calls, distributions, waterfalls and regulatory filings.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel for calculations, projections and reporting.
• Knowledge of IFRS and the Companies Act 2001.
• Fund accounting expertise, including NAV calculations and fund valuations.
• Experience coordinating external audits and preparing tax returns.
• Familiarity with Mauritius FSC regulatory requirements and compliance processes.
