Biomedical Engineer

About the role

HealthActiv is seeking a Biomedical Engineer responsible for the installation, service and maintenance of a range of medical and laboratory equipment. The role includes supporting team members, planning preventive maintenance and ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain and repair medical and laboratory equipment.
• Assist in preparing site and technical requirements for installations.
• Plan and organise regular preventive maintenance and system updates.
• Ensure minimum downtime of the installed base and maintain appropriate stock of spare parts.
• Support team members on various modalities.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years proven work experience in biomedical engineering.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail‑oriented with a systematic approach to problem solving.
• Customer‑centric mindset with a focus on delivering excellent service.
• Enjoys teamwork and collaborative environments.
• Willingness and ability to learn complex technical information.
